STAGED BUILDING INSPECTIONS
Identify Issues Early
Staged building construction inspections protect you by identifying potential issues early.
Building a new home can be stressful. Staged building construction inspections keep your builder honest helping to ease the stress, provide peace of mind and protect you.
These inspections are imperative to ensure your new home is being built correctly. It also helps to identify potential issues early before the build proceeds too far, so that they can be rectified easily and cost effectively during the building process.
Staged building construction inspections can be carried out across Adelaide and are designed to ensure a new build or renovation is proceeding in accordance with Australian Standards.
The main stages are:
Footings - checking footings post excavation work prior to concrete pouring
Slab – inspect floor slab preparation prior to pouring of concrete
Frame – inspecting the structural framework of the building for compliance
Lock Up – performed once the builder has completed enclosure of the home
Fixing – performed prior to painting stage
Keeping your Builder Honest
We recommend that when you enter into a building construction contract that you stipulate in the contract that independent inspections will be carried out at certain construction stages by an inspector of your choice.
